Here’s how to enable 2FA with GreenGeeks:

  • Log in to your GreenGeeks Account
  • In the upper-right corner, click your Profile Icon and select My Profile.
  • On the next screen, click the “Security” tab.
  • Under Two-Factor Authentication, click “Enable Two-Factor Security.”
  • Use an authentication app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password to scan the QR code displayed on-screen.
  • Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.
  • Click Activate to complete setup.

✅ Tip: Store your backup codes somewhere safe — they allow you to regain access if your phone is lost or replaced.

Once enabled, every time you log in to your GreenGeeks Account Manager, you’ll be prompted to enter your verification code after your password.

Your WordPress admin dashboard is the heart of your website — and a common target for attackers. Enabling 2FA on WordPress helps prevent unauthorized logins, even if your password is compromised.

Here’s how to enable it:

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard (yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
  • Go to Plugins → Add New.
  • Search for a 2FA plugin such as:

    Google Authenticator – Two Factor Authentication
    WP 2FA – Two-factor authentication for WordPress
  • Click Install Now, then Activate.
