The StartUp plan costs $35.88 for the first year, then $215.88 annually after that, and every figure here is before VAT — SiteGround prints its prices exclusive of it, so an Israeli or European buyer pays more than the number shown. Three years total: $467.64. That puts it ahead of Vangus and JetServer, but behind everything else on this page. The intro price lasts twelve months, then the rate becomes $17.99/mo — a 502% increase.
GrowBig and GoGeek follow the same structure. GrowBig runs $59.88 the first year and $359.88 after, reaching $779.64 over three years. GoGeek hits $1,175.64. Both are prepaid in full at signup, with no monthly option at these rates.
What you get is solid: Google Cloud infrastructure, automatic daily backups on all plans, Cloudflare CDN, staging environments on GrowBig and above. The control panel is their own build, not cPanel. Support runs around the clock; SiteGround's pricing page says 24/7 expert support without naming the channels, so take chat and tickets as given and phone as unconfirmed.
Storage is tight. StartUp gives you 10GB for one site. GrowBig raises that to 50GB across unlimited sites. GoGeek reaches 100GB. No plan here will handle a media-heavy site or anything approaching high traffic on the storage side.
The performance claims — "30% faster PHP" on GrowBig, unmetered bandwidth, five datacenter locations — describe the infrastructure but offer no published uptime guarantee and no SLA at this tier. You're paying for managed WordPress optimisation and a support team with a reputation, not for contractual commitments.
The renewal price is the problem. At $17.99/mo ongoing, StartUp costs more in month thirteen than InterServer charges from day one, and InterServer's price never changes. You're buying the first year at a discount and offsetting it across the next two.
SiteGround works if you value managed support and need WordPress-specific infrastructure enough to pay for it long-term. If the decision comes down to total cost, six other providers on this page cost less over three years while charging a consistent rate.
